A corporate finance company has beefed up its structured finance team with a senior executive position to support the continued expansion of the business.
John Platt joined Oldham-based PMD Business Finance from Natwest’s Corporate Banking team, where he worked for 14 years, most recently as Relationship Manager.
In his new role as Director of Structured Finance, Platt will assist clients across the UK on all aspects of structured finance requirements. This includes acquisitions, executive buyouts, employee corporate trusts (EOTs), restructuring and growth capital.
Platt will also lead a new real estate finance division which will see PMD offer specialist brokerage services such as commercial mortgages and development finance.
John Platt said: “I am delighted to take this step in my career, a step that will allow me to be part of the history of one of the UK’s most exciting independent finance providers.
“I have known the PMD team for many years and look forward to using all of my experience to assist PMD clients and introducers with their structured finance and real estate finance needs. “
Platt’s hiring is the latest in a series of executive appointments at PMD in recent months, bringing the company’s total workforce to 50.
PMD was acquired earlier this year by its management team – Tom Brown, Lee Schofield and Rob Dermody – from founders Peter Dobson and Mike Rodgers.
